NewTLA is a caucus of UTLA members affiliated with and only with UTLA and its dual affiliates, the National Educators Association (NEA) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT).

NewTLA asks teachers to join an organization - UTLA - to which they already belong, and to join at the level of policy-maker.
